Equity Release

Equity Release schemes allow homeowners over the age of 55 to release tax-free cash to increase finances.

The two main types of Equity Release schemes are Lifetime Mortgages and Reversion Plans. Many provide a Drawdown facility.

(With a drawdown plan you do not request the full sum of money available to you immediately. Instead, you decide on a maximum amount of equity you want to release, and "draw down" the cash in stages when you want)

Only SHIP approved equity release schemes are recommended by us.

The Ship Code of Conduct:

  • To allow customers to remain in their property for life

  • Fair, simple and complete presentation of the plans

  • The right to move their equity release plan to another suitable property without financial penalty

  • The right to choose an independent solicitor

  • SHIP certificate signed by the solicitor to ensure client has been made aware of the terms and all implications

  • No negative equity guarantee

  • Reasons to release equity

Home improvements, Holidays, Help the family, loans, increase income and many more reasons.

To find out if Equity Release is suitable for your requirements contact us for a confidential no obligation discussion.

These are lifetime mortgages and home reversion plans. To understand their features and risks ask for a personalised illustration.

We typically charge a fee of £1095 payable upon completion of your Equity Release plan. Or, 1.5% of the amount released. This is subject to your circumstances and we will discuss this with you.

CHECK THAT THIS MORTGAGE WILL MEET YOUR NEEDS IF YOU WANT TO MOVE OR SELL YOUR HOME OR YOU WANT YOUR FAMILY TO INHERIT IT. IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBT, SEEK INDEPENDENT ADVICE
